Gallery Wall {Before & After}

Hello!  Hope you are having a great day.  Today, I wanted to show you the gallery wall that I was able to finish before Thanksgiving.  This past weekend, I finally had a chance to take some pictures of it to show you.  So, because I like instant gratification here is the

...........................................................AFTER

What do you think?  Isn't it a HUGE improvement, over the

..........................................................BEFORE

The itty-bitty frames I initially selected were dwarfed by the large wall (what was I thinking?).  The new frames I got from Michael's they are 16 x 20 and hold an 8 x 10 picture.  I propped them up on the dresser to see how they'd work before hanging them and there they stayed.  And stayed.  And stayed.  For months and months.
They even stayed after I refinished the knotty  pine dresser .  I guess I was distracted by my son's room so it's not like I was sitting around eating bon-bons and watching reality TV.  (This sort of rationalization makes me feel better about the fact that it takes me so long to actually finish a project.  Some bon-bons might make me feel better too though.)
I was determined to get them hung before Thanksgiving though.  I have to admit I was a little intimidated by this project because usually when I hang stuff, I just start hammering nails into the wall and eyeball whatever I'm hanging.  Then, I make adjustments as needed.  With these large black frames in a symmetrical pattern though, I knew that I was going to have to pretty much line them up perfectly.
Stay tuned and I will show you how I did it and it was surprisingly easy.

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you have a fantastic day!
