Where I've Been Lately

Just wanted to drop in and let you (all four of you faithful members and my email subscribers) know what the h-e-double-hockey-sticks has happened to me!

Let me explain.  I always have a certain level of stress on my job all the time because I'm working against expiration dates and people who are count on me to not let things expire. Mostly I handle it because I've been doing it for a long time and I'm used to it. Every few years, the powers that be like to make major changes in an effort to save money (never works). They change all the terminology, and our established systems, and leave us to figure all these new things out with minimal training. So, that is going on (STRESS). Add to that, my case load has been been a turmoil with lots of people in crises that demand my immediate attention.

I have been working six days a week, waking up between 3:30 and 4:30 every morning to do paperwork before my kids get up (my brain works better in the morning).  Then, I have to get my kids ready for school, work during the day, do the evening dinner, homework, ready for bed routine with my kids, dishes, laundry, etc... When I finally have a chance to sit (or lie) down in the evening I immediately fall asleep because I. AM. EXHAUSTED. I've also been working one day on the weekend when my kids are with their dad, and trying to squeeze in a few things like grocery shopping and paying the bills. My stress level has been through the roof for the entire month of February.

Not only have I been neglecting you and my blog, I've been neglecting everything else, as well. My kids, my self, my family, my dog, my house (disaster area). So, needless-to-say, I haven't even had a moment to do a project, much less blog about it!

I'm hoping March will be somewhat better, but I'm not sure when things will get back to "normal." I hope that it's soon because I miss you guys, my projects and blogging.

Thanks for your understanding and hanging in there with me.

  1. Oh Sharon - I'm sorry this has been such a stressful month for you! I hope things slow down for you in the coming weeks and that you can catch up on some rest and family time.
