Happy Anniversary Desert Willow Lane

Today is the one year anniversary of my blog!

Last night, I was planning on writing a long post about the roller coaster ride that has been my first year of blogging. But, well, uhm, I started reading a book and fell asleep instead. I seriously could write a book on what not to do when you start a blog. I'm cringing right now just thinking of all the mistakes I've made. Oh well, live and learn, right?

I did want to send out a heartfelt

to my followers. You guys are the bomb! I am so grateful for each and every one of you! I'd invite you all over for dinner and a glass of wine if I could (and a killer dessert!), just to tell you how much your support means to me. Then, I'd probably hand you a roller and tell you to help me repaint my living room.

I really appreciate those of you who are sweet enough to leave me comments. Comments are like oxygen for a blogger. We live for comments. And, to those of you who just drop in from time to time, you are always welcome here (although you won't be invited over for dinner or the painting party).

But seriously, I am so, so grateful to all of you for taking the time from your busy day to drop in and read about my projects or my latest DIY and design obsessions.

  3. Isn't that what first years are for? To make all the mistakes :) Happy Blogiversary, Sharon! I'm so grateful to have met a blogging kindred spirit that happens to share the same city. I love seeing your projects and how your home has evolved. And I can't wait for year #2!

    1. Thanks Deme! I hope this means that I won't make as many mistakes in year #2? (probably just different mistakes). I'm so grateful to have a blog friends who's as obsessed with DIY and design as I am too, right here in town. I'm excited for my second year of blogging. :)
