Propped Nightstand Art Work

Hi there!  It's been awhile, I know.  We're getting back into the school routine, and while I do love summer, it's nice to have the structure that school provides.  I hope that you all are doing well and had a fantastic summer?

Today, I wanted to show you some art work that I recently added to the nightstands in my room.  One night, while I was brushing my teeth, getting ready for bed, I was looking at my nightstands and I remembering thinking that they needed some art work and wishing that I had some large scale graphic prints to go on them.
I really need to do something about that dark headboard.
Then I remembered that I already had some large scale graphic prints that were hanging in my bedroom on an obscure wall where I barely noticed them. So, I took them down and propped them up on the nightstands to see how I liked them.
I have since knocked the cute little clock off the nightstand and cracked the glass. :(

I know this needs a little something.  I'm thinking a green plant to liven it up and add some color.
I got the Picasso prints years ago, and if I remember right, they're from All Posters.  The frames are from Michael's.  They're same frames that I used for our living room gallery wall.

I loved them propped on the night stands! Olivia asked me if I was going to hang them.  I considered it, but I love the informal look of them propped on the night stands, not to mention how easy it was just to set them down and lean them against the wall.  Plus, I think that if I hung them, I'd have to raise them up a bit and they would't be as visible.

Here are a few more examples of propped art work on nightstands from around the web.

I have to say that I like both propped and hung art work.  Do you have a preference?

Thanks for taking the time to stop by today.

  1. So pretty! You are right on "trend" with how all of the "experts" say to style a night stand!

  3. Love it, looks very pretty. Thanks so much for your recent comment on my move. It is over now... well the physical part of moving but I don't feel any better yet. I'm just still overwhelmed and haven't been doing a whole lot except crying and feeling sick. :o(
